How to reconcile deposits with the Bank Deposit Report

Purpose: 
This article explains what the Bank Deposit Report is, how to access it, and answers frequently asked questions about the report. 

 

What is the Bank Deposit Report?
The Bank Deposit Report provides all the information you need to reconcile your Givelify deposits.

This report includes all deposits made to your organization’s bank account during the specified timeframe and is formatted by date, so you can easily match deposits to your bank statement.

A bank deposit report will download as a CSV file and includes the details below: 
 

Donor information:

  • Name
  • Email

Donation information:

  • Date and time
  • Envelope
  • Card type
  • Total
  • Fees
  • Refund details

 

Note: Our daily donation processing cutoff is 9:00pm ET or 21:00 hours. Any donation made after the cutoff will be included in the next business day's deposits to your bank account. If refunds were requested within this time frame, they will bе noted on the report along with the date refunded.

 

How to access the Bank Deposit Report

If your organization received donations the month prior, you will receive an email each month with a direct link to the Bank Deposit Report. This link will automatically download the Bank Deposit Report for the month prior.

You will need to log in to Analytics Studio, if you are not already, for the download to begin. You will then find the report in your “Downloads” folder.

You can also access the Bank Deposit Report in Analytics Studio. Follow these steps:

1. Visit analytics.givelify.com and sign in to your organization's account

2. Select the Reports tab on the left-hand side of the screen


3. Under “Data exports,” hover over the “Bank deposits” report and select Get report 


4. Select a date range from the dropdown for Last Month and select Generate Report 


5. Select the “Reports history” tab. The report will be shown at the top of the list. 


6. Under the “File column, select Download. The report will be downloaded and available in your computer’s “Downloads” folder.

Who in my organization can access the Bank Deposit Report?
