My website giving button or Facebook donate link stopped working. What should I do?

With the rollout of Givelify’s recurring giving feature, links for website and social giving have been updated. The links you have already used should automatically redirect to these new, updated links.

However, if you experience issues with your current links or online giving buttons, please follow the instructions below to update to the new links.

Website Giving

 To update the Givelify giving button on your organization’s website:

  1. On your computer, visit givelify.com and log in to your organization’s account.
  2. Click on Settings at the top right of your screen.
  3. Click on Website Giving at the top right of your screen.
  4. Click on Get the code.
  5. Click on the button you are currently using on your website.
  6. A text window will open with the embed code.
  7. Click
  8. Paste the code into your website where the old code currently appears.

 Social Giving

To update the links you use on social media or in email newsletters:

  1. On your computer, visit givelify.com and log in to your organization’s account.
  2. Click on Settings at the top right of your screen.
  3. Click on Social Giving at the top right of your screen.
  4. Click
  5. Paste the link into your social media posts, email newsletters, and all other digital communications.

Facebook Donate Button

If you have already set up a Donate button on your organization’s Facebook page and need to update the link, follow these instructions:

  1. Visit givelify.com on your computer and log in to your organization’s Givelify account.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click Social Giving.
  4. Click Copy.
  5. Go to your organization’s Facebook page and hover over the blue Donate button, which appears on the right side just beneath your cover photo.
  6. Click Edit Button.
  7. Replace the website link that is currently listed with the new link you just copied.
  8. Click Save Changes.
