How to Find Donation Data with Givelify Analytics Studio

Accessing year-over-year donations

Year-over-year (YoY) donations allow you to track how giving patterns have changed from one year to the next. This comparison helps you understand trends and identify factors that may have impacted your giving.

How to gather year-over-year donation data in Givelify Analytics Studio:

1. Gather donation data for the current year 

1. 1. 1. Log into Givelify Analytics Studio
      2. Navigate to the Overview section 
      3. Select More dates
      4. Choose This year
      5. Click Save 
      6. The total donation amount for the current year will be displayed in the top left corner of the chart

2. Gather donation data for the previous year

1. 1. 1. Log into Givelify Analytics Studio
      2. Navigate to the Overview section 
      3. Select More dates
      4. Choose Last year
      5. Adjust the end date to today’s date from the previous year 
      6. Click Save
      7. The total donation amount for the previous year will be displayed in the top left corner of the chart

Accessing quarter-over-quarter donations

Quarter-over-quarter (QoQ) donations help you track short-term giving trends and identify seasonal variations. This data provides insights into how donations fluctuate throughout the year, reflecting changes from organization activities and campaigns, holidays, or other external factors.

How to collect quarterly donation data in Givelify Analytics Studio:

1. 1. 1. Log into Givelify Analytics Studio
      2. Navigate to the Overview section
      3. Select More dates

Q1 (January-March):

1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. Select the date range from 1/1 to 3/31 of the current year
                     2. Click Save
                     3. The total donation amount for Q1 will be displayed in the top left corner of the chart

Q2 (April-June):

1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. Repeat steps 1 through 3 above
                  2. Select the date range from 4/1 to 6/30 of the current year
                  3. Click Save
                  4. The total donation amount for Q2 will be displayed in the top left corner of the chart

Q3 (July-September):

1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. Repeat steps 1 through 3 above
                  2. Select the date range from 7/1 to 9/30 of the current year
                  3. Click Save
                  4. The total donation amount for Q3 will be displayed in the top left corner of the chart

Q4 (October-December):

1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. 1. Repeat steps 1 through 3 above
                  2. Select the date range from 10/1 to 12/31 of the current year
                  3. Click Save
                  4. The total donation amount for Q4 will be displayed in the top left corner of the chart

Year-to-date (YTD) donations can help you see how you’re tracking toward your annual financial goals. Compare year-to-date donations to budgeted targets to gauge whether you are ahead, on track, or behind on meeting your goals.

         3. Select More dates
         4. Choose This year
         5. Click Save
         6. The total year-to-date donation amount will be displayed in the top left corner of the chart
